Name your three most valuable results from the last three years. Take as long as you need.
Most people pause and then start scrolling. They end up in an old deck, a past employer's shared drive, a folder called Final that isn't actually final. Ten minutes in, they've got one result and a guess.
That slow search tells you something, because it shows you where your proof actually lives. It usually sits in one of three places.
It's in a document nobody's opened since the project ended, or in someone else's inbox, like a manager or client who's since moved on. Or it's in your head with no number attached. None of those are visible to anyone on the outside.
So when a recruiter asks what you're proudest of, you answer with a project name. When a new boss asks about your last company, you end up describing the team.
Nobody calls it a loss when this happens. It just feels like a slow week.
How long would it take you to name yours without opening a single folder?
